
Geen lijstje van alle mogelijke bloeiers van dit ogenblik vandaag, maar wel een paar typische oktober-bloemen.
Want er zijn echt wel planten die tot nu gewacht hebben om te gaan bloeien…
En niet alleen ‘pour le plaisir des yeux’ is dat belangrijk (niet alle bloemen van dit ogenblik hebben trouwens een hoog eye-candy gehalte), maar ook voor de nectar-snoepende insecten die nog honger hebben!
Not a list of every single flower that is blooming now in my garden, but just a few pictures of two plants that wait till October to bloom.
Indeed, some plants wait this long before bursting into flowers.
And it is not only for our eyes that those flowers are important (be honest, blooming Ivy isn’t exactly eye-candy), but also for those nectar-devoring insects that are still hungry!

It’s the tiny blossoms that are the most interesting. Boxwood blooms for example are seldom noticed were it not for the fragrance.
I must admit that – allthough I have seen boxwood blooming – I haven’t noticed the scent yet…
